Who We Are
Laminated veneer lumber (LVL) is a manufactured high-strength timber product, designed as a structural replacement for many frequently utilised timber types in construction.
Laminated veneers in plywood switch directions when stacking, whereas the veneers in LVL all stack in the same manner.
The direction of the timber grain in LVLs are always parallel to the beams length. By stacking these veneers into a full board, known as a billet, a single piece of LVL provides far superior engineered structural strength.

What are LVL Beams?
Structurally engineered products that allows for a high-strength engineered material that can be used in a variety of applications.
LVLs are manufactured through a process of layers of timber that are glued together
Compared to normal timber the laminating process eliminates natural timber knots from penetrating the piece of the timber and thus an incredibly strong and stiffer piece of timber is produced through the laminating process
Benefits of LVL
- Manufacturing consistency means a reliable products
- Have the strength of steel
- Lighter weight than typical timbers for safer material handling
- Better cost control
- Longer lengths for bigger spans
- Sustainably managed timber is one of the most environmentally timbers available
Are LVLs good for flooring?
Due to LVL’s light weight nature, strength and its manufactured consistency result in a flatter, stronger and more stable structure than traditional timber products.
Why use LVLs in your next build?
Lvl’s provide your construction project with:
- Consistency – no surprises
- Strength – Structural integrity
- Light weight- For ease and safe handling
- Cost effectiveness – Cost control
- Sustainably sourced – Environmentally friendly materials
